Thе Aѕѕосiаtiоn of Tanzania Oil аnd Gаѕ Service Prоvidеrѕ (ATOGS) has bееn fоrmеd tо act аѕ a convening bоdу for diffеrеnt рlауеrѕ асrоѕѕ thе vаluе chain on the Energy, Oil & Gas sectors in Tаnzаniа.
ATOGS was officially inaugurated on the 27th June, 2017 Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel by Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan by then the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania (URT).
ATOGS is a membership association that seeks to represent the interests of Local service providers as companies position themselves to participate in the emerging sectors of Energy, Oil & Gas value chain .Our main objective among others is to promote and implement Local Content initiatives in Tanzania.
- Our mission is to galvanise diverse Tanzanian players within the Oil & Gas industry in order to allow the industry to speak in one voice and provide other stakeholders wanting to engage the industry, a single credible and reputable point of reference
- Our vision is to be the pre-eminent industry body advancing the interests of Tanzanians in the Oil & Gas industry
Current Projects
2020
EACOP Project
The EACOP is a 1,443km crude oil export pipeline that will transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania. The pipeline route was selected by the Government of Uganda as the least cost and most robust.
2018
LNG Project
The LNG project will serve as an important ingredient in supporting Tanzania’s vision for industrialization.
This project creates a commercial basis for the vast offshore gas fields to be developed and to make gas available for local and international markets.
